Behind ‘Bisous From Paris’

Welcome to Bisous From Paris, a blog I decided to start when I made the decision to move from a small town in England to Paris, France.

Back in August 2020, I had just quit my job as a Primary School Teacher mid-Covid pandemic, with the intention of travelling. I fully believed, like many did, that the pandemic would be over within a few short months and travel would be opening up again soon.

Almost a year later, I found myself still stuck at home and still in a form of lockdown. Though I had managed to find a job that I could do from the comfort of my own home, I felt stuck. I wasn’t living, I was simply existing. I realised I didn’t know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, and so the idea of moving to Paris and consequently this blog was formed.

Bisous From Paris will be a place for me to document my experiences as an expat in Paris, so that in the future I can look back on this time and also so my family and friends can follow along with what I get up to. I will write about my favourite places to visit, to eat, days in the life, advice on how to move to Paris, and anything and everything Paris related.

Elicia is the founder and author of Bisous From Paris, a blog about her move from small town England to Paris, France.

Elicia is 26 years old, and worked as a primary school teacher until the pandemic hit and, just like it did many others, it gave her time to think. She realised that her heart didn’t lie in teaching anymore, yet she didn’t know what her calling truly was and she spent the majority of lockowon feeling stuck.

Until, she heard of Au Pairing and that was that. Within days, she had applied and landed a job as an Au Pair in Paris. This blog will document Elicia’s experience as an Au Pair and expat in Paris and her journey to discovering herself and what she really wants to do with her life.

So please, take a look around and. if you like what you see, please subscribe and leave comments on my posts. I would love to hear from you.
